October is #GetRedressed month, a month to support charity partner Redress. Redress is dedicated to reducing waste in textile manufacturing and is aiming to collect 7 tonnes of second-hand clothing, which will be carefully sorted and redistributed to 10 local charities to support people in need. Over 16,000 garments end up in Hong Kong’s landfills every hour, so please join us to stop this needless waste and support a new circular economy for fashion. We are pleased to collaborate with Redress to offer the following activities:
Redress Mini Pre-loved Clothing Pop-up Shop
October 15-21, 11am-8pm, Sun Street Pop-up: 5 Sun Street, Wanchai
Browse, try and buy top quality, luxury and high street pre-loved clothes and accessories. Plus you can pick up a copy of our book Dress [with] Sense at 10% off! (All funds raised from the sales will support Redress` work to cut waste out of fashion)
Get Redressed Shopping Day
October 19-20, all JMO stores
Join us for a shopping day to get prepared for the weather change. While enjoying a 15% discount for all products (except kits), you are at the same time supporting Redress, as $10 from each transaction will be donated to them.
DIY Workshop with Redress
October 18, 7pm - 8pm, Sun Street Pop-up: 5 Sun Street, Wanchai
Join us to transform an old T-Shirt into a fabulous new necklace using up-cycling techniques. The workshop will also explore other ways you can breathe new life into your clothing and lighten the environmental impact of your wardrobe. Make sure to sign up here as places are limited.
John Masters Organics Tote Bag Sale
We will donate HK$5 to Redress throughout the months of October-December for every JMO tote bag purchased
